How to use Trip.com referral code: phone sign-up screen with code UABGHT, gold coins and piggy bank

How to Use a Trip.com Referral Code in Singapore (2026): Step-by-Step Guide

Trip.com gives new users a S$68 welcome pack for joining with a referral code. The pack is a set of promo codes for flights, hotels and more, for your first bookings in the app.

The catch is timing. The referral has to be in place when you create your account. Trip.com tells people to share the code before their friend installs the app, and there is no way to add it after sign-up.

Most people find the code after they have already downloaded Trip.com and registered. By then, the welcome pack is gone for that account.

This guide walks through the order to sign up with the DLCuration Trip.com referral code, UABGHT, where your codes show up, and how to use them on your first booking.

Why Most People Use a Trip.com Referral Code Wrong

Most people treat a referral code like a promo code you paste at checkout. Trip.com treats it as part of how your account is created.

Here are the three mistakes I see most often:

  • Signing up first. If you create your account and then look for the code, the referral is not recognised. The code has to go in during registration.
  • Using a phone or device that has had Trip.com before. Trip.com flags accounts that share a phone number, email, IP address or device with an existing account. A flagged account gets no pack.
  • Pasting the code at checkout. UABGHT is not a booking discount. It unlocks the welcome pack, and the pack’s own promo codes are what take money off your booking.

The principle the whole process is built on: open the link before you install, enter UABGHT while you register, then book from the app.

What You Need Before You Start

Set aside about 10 minutes. Have these ready:

  • The Trip.com referral link or code. Use the Trip.com referral link, or copy the code UABGHT from the DLCuration Trip.com page.
  • A phone without Trip.com on it. If the app is already installed and you have never registered, delete it first.
  • A phone number and email you have never used with Trip.com. Both are checked against existing accounts.
  • A trip in mind. The welcome codes expire, so it helps to sign up when you are ready to book.

You are not eligible if you already have a Trip.com account, or if your phone number or device has been used to register one before. One referral per new account.

The Full Process: Step by Step

Step 1 — Delete Trip.com If It Is Already Installed (1 minute)

Check your phone. If Trip.com is on it from an old download and you never registered, delete it now.

Trip.com’s referral page says to share the code before a friend installs the app. Starting from a clean phone avoids a referral that never attaches.

What you end up with: a phone ready to install Trip.com through the link.

Open the Trip.com referral link on the phone you will book with. It opens Trip.com’s welcome pack page with the code UABGHT already attached.

→ Open the Trip.com referral link

Copy UABGHT as well. You will paste it in the next step as a backup.

What you end up with: the referral attached, and the code on your clipboard.

Step 3 — Install the App and Register a New Account (3 minutes)

Install Trip.com from the link, open it and start registering straight away. You can sign up with email, Google, Apple or Facebook.

When you see I have a referral code for registration, tap it and paste UABGHT. Trip.com’s own instruction to friends is to paste the code when signing up.

What you end up with: a new Trip.com account with the referral attached.

Step 4 — Check Your Promo Codes (1 minute)

Go to Account › Promo Codes. The codes in your S$68 welcome pack should be there.

Trip.com does not publish what the pack is made of, so tap each code to see what it covers, its minimum spend and its expiry date. Note the ones that match the trip you are planning.

What you end up with: a clear view of your welcome codes and their rules.

Step 5 — Book Your First Trip in the App (5 minutes)

Make the booking in the Trip.com app, not on the website. The welcome pack is for first bookings in the app.

At checkout, Trip.com applies the promo code that gives the biggest discount automatically. You can change it under Promo codes if you would rather save a code for a different booking.

Only one promo code works per booking. Your welcome code cannot be combined with another Trip.com code on the same order.

What you end up with: your first Trip.com booking with a welcome code applied.

Step 6 — Keep the Booking (no action)

Leave the booking as it is. Cancelling a booking can cancel the promo reward that came with it.

What you end up with: a discounted trip, booked.

Is the Trip.com Referral Worth It? Three Realistic Examples

The S$68 is not cash. It is a pack of codes, each with its own product, minimum spend and expiry date. What you save depends on what you book first.

The Bangkok weekend. You are booking a hotel for a long weekend. You sign up through the link, check Promo Codes and find a hotel code that fits your booking. The best code applies itself at checkout, on a booking you were making anyway.

The first flight. You need a flight to Bali. Trip.com also runs a new-user flight code, TRIPFLIGHT26SG, worth up to S$20 off a first flight. Only one code works per booking, so compare the welcome code and TRIPFLIGHT26SG at checkout and keep the one that saves more.

The returning user. You booked a Trip.com hotel two years ago. You are not eligible. Opening a new account on the same phone or with the same number is likely to be flagged, and a flagged account gets no pack.

The pack never makes a Trip.com price better or worse than the same trip elsewhere. Compare the final price first. If Trip.com wins, the welcome code makes it cheaper still.

What the Referral Code Cannot Do

It cannot be added after you register. If you have already created a Trip.com account without the link or code, the referral is not recognised.

It cannot stack. One promo code per booking. A welcome code cannot be combined with a sale code or another new-user code on the same order.

It cannot turn into cash. Welcome pack codes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

It cannot get past duplicate checks. Accounts that share an email, phone number, IP address or device with an existing account can be flagged and lose the pack.

Is Trip.com Safe? What the Code Does Not Change

Using a referral code has no effect on your booking or how you pay. Trip.com is run by Trip.com Group, a large online travel company, and bookings for Singapore users are handled by Trip.com Travel Singapore Pte. Ltd.

As with any online travel agent, read the cancellation terms before you pay. Hotel and flight rules come from the hotel or airline, not from the welcome code.

Tips to Get the Most From the Trip.com Referral

Do it all on one phone. Open the link, install and register on the same phone, in one go. Switching devices is the easiest way to lose the referral.

Read every code before you book. Each welcome code has its own minimum spend and expiry. Picking a trip that meets a code’s minimum is how the pack turns into real savings.

Compare against other new-user codes. Trip.com’s new-user offers, such as TRIPFLIGHT26SG for a first flight, cannot be combined with the welcome pack. Check which saves more on your booking.

Pay in full on Trip.com. Third-party guides say “pay at hotel” bookings do not count toward referral rewards. Prepaying keeps things simple.

Screenshot the sign-up screen. A screenshot showing UABGHT in the referral code field is useful if the pack does not appear and you need to contact Trip.com support.

What If You Already Have a Trip.com Account?

You are not eligible for the welcome pack. It is only for people creating their first Trip.com account, and the code cannot be added afterwards.

You can still earn from referrals the other way round. Share your own code from the friend referral page in the Trip.com app. Trip.com’s Singapore referral page says you get S$20 in Trip Coins for each friend who books a qualifying flight or hotel, up to S$200. The Trip Coins are credited 3 to 14 working days after your friend’s trip shows as completed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use a Trip.com referral code?

Open the Trip.com referral link before you install the app, then register a new account and enter UABGHT under “I have a referral code for registration”. Your S$68 welcome pack appears under Account › Promo Codes, and the best code applies automatically when you book in the app.

Where do I enter a Trip.com referral code?

During registration, not at checkout. In the Trip.com app, tap “I have a referral code for registration” while creating your account and paste the code. If you open the referral link first, the code is attached for you.

Can I add a Trip.com referral code after signing up?

No. The referral has to be in place when you register. If you created your account first and then try to add the code, it is not recognised.

What is in the Trip.com S$68 welcome pack?

A set of Trip.com promo codes for flights, hotels and more, worth S$68 in total. Trip.com does not publish a breakdown. Check Account › Promo Codes in the app to see each code’s product, minimum spend and expiry date.

Can I use the Trip.com welcome pack with other promo codes?

No. Trip.com allows one promo code per booking, so a welcome code cannot be combined with sale codes or other new-user codes such as TRIPFLIGHT26SG. Compare them at checkout and keep the one that saves more.

Why didn’t I get the Trip.com welcome pack?

The most common reasons are an existing account, a phone number, email or device already used with Trip.com, or adding the code after registration. Trip.com also flags accounts that look like duplicates. If none of these apply, contact Trip.com support from the app.

Final Thoughts

The Trip.com welcome pack comes down to one moment: registration. Open the link before you install, enter UABGHT while you sign up, and the S$68 pack is in your account.

After that, the work is picking the right code for the right booking. Read each code’s minimum spend and expiry, compare it with other new-user offers, and book from the app.

Start with the link. Everything else follows from getting that one step right.
