No. POEMS's referral programme does not use a manual promo code, bonus code or coupon field during registration. The referee only needs to open an account using the unique referral link, so opening the link before you register is the only step. The characters jkXqk are the ID inside this link, not a code you type anywhere. Any site telling you to enter a POEMS sign-up code is not describing how the programme works.

Who qualifies as a new POEMS client?

You must be new to Phillip Securities Pte Ltd: you must not have, or have had, any account with it, including joint and corporate accounts. You open a Cash Plus or Cash Management Account through the link and opt into SMART Park, and the programme runs for accounts opened from 1 Sep to 1 Nov 2026. People who have benefited or will benefit from similar programmes, such as PhillipCFD's Refer A Friend, and PhillipCapital employees, partners and their immediate families are excluded unless management approves.

What happens if I open a POEMS account without the referral link?

POEMS says that if the referral link was not used when the account was opened, it is not considered a successful referral. The sign-up form has no field for a code, so open the link first and finish registering in the same browser session. The terms also count only the first 10 accounts opened through one referral link as successful referrals, and POEMS does not say how that applies to later sign-ups, so call 6531 1555 if you want it confirmed before you fund.

How do the S$3,000 and S$10,000 funding tiers work?

Both tiers need fresh cash from your own bank account, deposited within 14 days of account opening and kept in the account for at least 30 days. Transfers between PSPL accounts, dividends, sale proceeds and account credits do not count. POEMS tracks your net cumulative deposit daily and withdrawals reduce it: below S$3,000 you receive no fund reward, from S$3,000 to under S$10,000 you receive Tier 1, and S$10,000 or more earns Tier 2. The funds can be used for buy trades but cannot be withdrawn or transferred during the 30 days.

When do I receive the stock coupons, and how do I use them?

Download and log in to POEMS Mobile 3 within 30 days of opening your account. POEMS notifies you by app push and email once you qualify. You must claim the reward and make an eligible trade within 90 days of becoming eligible, or it is forfeited. A coupon is applied automatically to the first eligible trade after you activate it: a buy of stocks in the US or Singapore markets, cash and online, with a minimum contract value of US$100 or S$100. The rebate, up to the contract value, is credited within 5 working days. Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.

Should I open a Cash Plus or a Cash Management Account?

Both account types are offered on the sign-up page. Cash Plus is POEMS's low-cost trading account, listed with 0 US commission, 26 markets and trading up to 5x your cash. Cash Management links to your CDP account and uses contra. The Cash Plus terms list POEMS Coins (1,000 at Tier 1, 3,000 at Tier 2) and the zero-US-commission perk is for Cash Plus only, while the Cash Management terms list stock coupons alone. POEMS's two sets of terms word the account type differently, so call 6531 1555 if it matters to you before you fund.

What is SMART Park, and do I have to opt in?

Yes. Opting into SMART Park, POEMS's Excess Funds Management facility, is a qualifying condition, and the referral page asks for it within 14 days of account opening. You can select it under Choose Facilities when you open the account. SMART Park invests idle cash automatically in Phillip Money Market Funds. It is an investment, not a bank deposit, so returns are not guaranteed and you can lose principal. The sign-up page showed 7-day annualised returns of SGD 0.9941% p.a. and USD 3.5258% p.a. as of 5 Oct 2026, with no lock-in period.

Is POEMS regulated in Singapore, and is my money safe?

POEMS is operated by Phillip Securities Pte Ltd, which says it is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. POEMS states that customer money and assets are kept in accounts designated as trust accounts and segregated from the firm's own funds, in line with the Securities and Futures Act. POEMS is a securities broker, not a bank, so SDIC deposit insurance does not apply, and the value of investments can fall as well as rise.
