No. You can earn Max Miles by purchasing vouchers with a debit card (e.g. Chocolate Finance Card) or via PayNow. A credit card gives you the "double-dip" effect — miles from your card plus Max Miles — but it is not required to start.
Miles are credited after your purchase is confirmed by the partner merchant — not immediately on sign-up. Depending on the merchant, this can take a few days to a few weeks. The referral code earner also only receives their 200 Max Miles once your purchase clears.
Any single shop or voucher purchase made through the HeyMax platform qualifies — there is no minimum spend. The only exclusion is Chocolate Finance transactions. Buying a Grab, Lazada, or Shopee voucher through HeyMax is the simplest qualifying option.
No. Max Miles never expire as long as your HeyMax account remains active. There is no earning or redemption activity requirement to maintain the balance, unlike most airline frequent flyer programmes.
Not directly. The indirect path is Max Miles → yuu Points → KrisFlyer, but under normal conditions this loses about 17% in conversion. HeyMax runs a Max Miles Day on the 25th of each month — sometimes offering 20% milesback on yuu conversions, which effectively restores a 1:1 ratio. Outside of those promotions, FlyAnywhere or other transfer partners usually offer better value than the KrisFlyer route.
180 days from their sign-up date to complete both phone number verification and a confirmed purchase. If both steps aren't completed within this window, the referral expires and no reward is issued to either party.
FlyAnywhere lets you offset the cost of any commercial flight — booked anywhere, on any airline, any cabin class — by submitting your receipt to HeyMax within 30 days of booking. HeyMax reimburses the cost in cash via PayNow at 1.8 cents per Max Mile. Award tickets are not eligible (only cash-purchased tickets). This sets a guaranteed floor value for every Max Mile you earn.
