No — deposits are cumulative across your first year (the "Award Period"). You earn USD 1 in IBKR stock for every USD 300 in net deposits, and the balance is tracked and updated daily in your IBKR account as your "Welcome Share Balance".
Withdrawals reduce your Welcome Share Balance proportionally. Your reward is based on your net deposit value (deposits minus withdrawals), not gross deposits. Deposits after a withdrawal continue to add to your balance.
Shares are subject to a transfer restriction for 1 year from each Award Date. After 1 year (the Anniversary Date) they are fully yours to sell, hold, or transfer. During the restriction period, you can vote the shares and receive any dividends declared.
Yes. To have your shares vest, you must maintain an average balance of USD 10,000 (or equivalent) for 1 year. If your account is closed or falls out of good standing, unvested shares are forfeited.
