How to use Chocolate Finance referral link: get S$15 when you join, phone sign-up screen with link applied

How to Use a Chocolate Finance Referral Link in Singapore (2026): Step-by-Step Guide

Chocolate Finance gives new customers S$15 for signing up through an invite link. The conditions are simple: top up S$1,000 and keep it there for 30 continuous days.

Two things trip people up. There is no Chocolate Finance referral code to type in — the reward follows the invite link, so downloading the app straight from the store loses it. And the S$15 is paid only after the 30 days, so taking money out early can cost you the reward.

The bigger question is whether Chocolate suits you at all. It is a fund manager, not a bank. Your money earns returns, not interest, and it is not covered by SDIC.

This guide walks through how to use the DLCuration Chocolate Finance referral link, the 30-day rule, and what you are actually signing up for.

Chocolate Finance is a cash management app. You top up SGD or USD, Chocolate invests it in short-duration bond funds, and you see your returns every day.

Here are the mistakes I see most often:

  • Searching for a referral code. There isn’t one. The invite link tracks the referral, and there is no field to enter a code later.
  • Downloading the app directly. If you install Chocolate from the App Store or Google Play without the link, the S$15 is not tracked.
  • Topping up too little. The reward needs S$1,000 in total. You can reach it in one deposit or several.
  • Withdrawing during the 30 days. If your balance falls below S$1,000 before the 30 days are up, the reward may not be paid.

The principle the whole process is built on: open the link first, top up S$1,000, and leave it for 30 days.

What You Need Before You Start

Set aside about 10 minutes to sign up. Have these ready:

  • The Chocolate Finance invite link. Use the Chocolate Finance invite link or the DLCuration Chocolate Finance page.
  • Singpass. Chocolate uses Myinfo to verify Singapore customers.
  • S$1,000 you will not need for a month. This is the part that decides the reward.
  • A bank account to fund from. Chocolate takes FAST transfers, PayNow QR and eGIRO.

You need to be a new Chocolate Finance customer to qualify.

The Full Process: Step by Step

Open the invite link on the phone you will use Chocolate on. It takes you to the App Store or Google Play.

→ Open the Chocolate Finance invite link

Install the app from that store page. Do not search for Chocolate separately.

What you end up with: Chocolate installed from the link, with the referral tracked.

Step 2 — Sign Up and Verify With Singpass (5 minutes)

Create your account in the app and verify your identity with Singpass Myinfo. Most people finish in a few minutes.

Your SGD and USD accounts are opened in the same app.

What you end up with: a verified Chocolate Finance account.

Step 3 — Top Up at Least S$1,000 (5 minutes)

Fund your SGD account with at least S$1,000 by FAST transfer, PayNow QR or eGIRO. It can be one deposit or several top-ups that add up to S$1,000.

Returns start from the day after your money arrives.

What you end up with: S$1,000 or more in your Chocolate account.

Step 4 — Keep at Least S$1,000 for 30 Continuous Days (30 days)

Leave your balance at or above S$1,000 for 30 days in a row. Topping up more is fine. Withdrawing below S$1,000 is what puts the reward at risk.

Withdrawals take up to three business days to reach your bank, so do not count on Chocolate for money you might need this month.

What you end up with: the 30-day condition met.

Step 5 — Check Your SGD Account for the S$15 (1 minute)

Once the 30 days are up, the S$15 is credited to your Chocolate SGD account.

What you end up with: S$15, plus the returns you earned over the month.

What You Earn While You Wait

The S$15 is on top of Chocolate’s returns. According to DLCuration’s Chocolate page (October 2026), the SGD account returns 3% p.a. on your first S$20,000 and 2.7% p.a. on the next S$30,000, calculated daily.

On S$1,000, 3% p.a. for 30 days is about S$2.50. Add the S$15 and the month is worth roughly S$17.50 on S$1,000.

These returns are supported by Chocolate’s Top-Up Programme. Chocolate’s terms say the programme now runs until 31 December 2026, or until it reaches S$2 billion in assets, whichever comes first. Returns are not guaranteed.

In October 2026, Chocolate also added 1% p.a. on new USD balances until 31 October.

Using an invite link has no effect on how your money is held. Chocolate Finance is a brand of Chocfin Pte Ltd, licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to manage funds.

It is not a bank. Your money is invested in short-duration fixed income funds, so it is not covered by SDIC, and the capital is not guaranteed. In March 2025, Chocolate suspended instant withdrawals in Singapore, and standard withdrawals take up to three business days.

Treat Chocolate as a place for cash you can leave alone for a while, not as your emergency fund. This is not financial advice.

Is the Chocolate Finance Referral Worth It? Three Realistic Examples

The idle-cash saver. You have S$5,000 sitting in a low-interest savings account. You move S$1,000 to Chocolate through the link and leave it. After 30 days, you have S$15 plus about S$2.50 in returns.

The quick flipper. You top up S$1,000, then withdraw S$500 in week two to pay a bill. Your balance falls below S$1,000, and the S$15 may not be paid.

The cautious one. You only want to try Chocolate with S$200. The reward needs S$1,000, so either top up the full amount or accept that there is no S$15.

It cannot be added later. The link has to be used at sign-up. There is no referral code to enter afterwards.

It does not pay on sign-up. The S$15 arrives only after S$1,000 has stayed in the account for 30 continuous days.

It does not make Chocolate a bank. The reward changes nothing about risk, deposit insurance or withdrawal times.

Tips to Get the Most From the Chocolate Referral

Top up slightly more than S$1,000. A buffer protects you if returns move or you make a small withdrawal.

Mark the date. Note the day you hit S$1,000, and do not withdraw below it for 30 days.

Use money you will not need soon. Withdrawals take up to three business days.

Screenshot the invite page. It helps if the S$15 does not appear and you contact Chocolate support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Chocolate Finance referral code?

No. Chocolate Finance’s referral works through an invite link. You need to sign up through the link for the S$15 to be tracked, and there is no code field to fill in later.

How much do I get with a Chocolate Finance referral link?

S$15, credited to your Chocolate SGD account. You get it after topping up at least S$1,000 and keeping at least S$1,000 in your account for 30 continuous days.

Does the S$1,000 have to be one deposit?

No. According to the terms shown in Chocolate’s app, the S$1,000 can be one deposit or several top-ups added together. What matters is that your balance stays at S$1,000 or more for 30 days in a row.

What happens if I withdraw money during the 30 days?

If your balance falls below S$1,000 before the 30 days are up, the S$15 may not be paid. Withdrawals take up to three business days, so plan around money you will not need that month.

Is Chocolate Finance covered by SDIC?

No. Chocolate Finance is a MAS-licensed fund manager, not a bank. Your money is invested in short-duration fixed income funds, returns are not guaranteed, and it is not covered by SDIC deposit insurance.

Final Thoughts

The Chocolate Finance referral is S$15 for about 12 minutes and a month of leaving S$1,000 alone. That is a fair deal if you have idle cash.

Get the order right: invite link first, top up S$1,000, then do nothing for 30 days. Just remember that Chocolate is an investment product, not a savings account.
