How to use amaze referral code JxU1zN: get S$25 in InstaPoints, phone sign-up screen with code applied

How to Use an amaze Referral Code in Singapore (2026): Step-by-Step Guide

Instarem gives new users 2,000 InstaPoints, worth S$25, for signing up to its amaze card with a referral code. That is one of the bigger no-deposit referral rewards in Singapore.

It is not paid at sign-up, and it is not paid when your card arrives. The InstaPoints land only after you complete a qualifying activity: more than S$100 of combined spending on your amaze card, or one overseas transfer above S$1,000.

Most people will hit S$100 of card spend in a week or two. The two things that catch people out are the code — it has to go in when the account is created — and the one-year limit to qualify.

This guide walks through how to use the DLCuration amaze referral code, JxU1zN: how to sign up, which spending counts, and how to turn the InstaPoints into S$25.

Why Most People Use an amaze Referral Code Wrong

amaze is a Mastercard from Instarem, the money transfer company. You sign up in the Instarem app, so the referral is attached to your Instarem account.

Here are the mistakes I see most often:

  • Installing Instarem without the code. Instarem’s terms say you must use the referral code or link while signing up. One referral code per sign-up.
  • Stopping at the card. Getting approved for amaze earns nothing. The reward comes after the qualifying spend or transfer.
  • Sending a transfer of exactly S$1,000. The terms say a single transfer above S$1,000. Card spend has to be over S$100.
  • Paying the person who referred you. Transfers or card spend to your referrer, or to a joint account with them, do not count.

The principle the whole process is built on: code in at sign-up, then just over S$100 of normal card spending, well inside a year.

What You Need Before You Start

Set aside about 15 minutes for sign-up and verification. Have these ready:

  • The amaze referral code JxU1zN. Or open the amaze referral link on your phone, which applies the code for you.
  • Singpass or your NRIC. Instarem verifies every customer before you can apply for amaze.
  • A way to fund the card. amaze Wallet takes top-ups, or you can link an existing Mastercard to amaze.
  • About S$100 of normal spending coming up. Groceries, meals or a shopping trip. Overseas spending works too.

You are not eligible if you already have an Instarem account, or if you have used another referral code. Instarem employees and business accounts are also excluded.

The Full Process: Step by Step

Open the referral link on your phone. It takes you to the Instarem app, with code JxU1zN attached.

→ Open the amaze referral link

What you end up with: the Instarem app, opened from the link.

Step 2 — Sign Up and Confirm JxU1zN (3 minutes)

Create your Instarem account. If the referral code field is empty, type JxU1zN before you submit. Instarem allows one referral code per sign-up, and it cannot be added afterwards.

What you end up with: a new Instarem account with the referral attached.

Step 3 — Get Verified and Apply for amaze (5 to 10 minutes)

Complete identity verification in the app, then apply for the amaze card. You need a registered and approved Instarem account to apply.

What you end up with: an approved amaze card, ready to use.

Step 4 — Spend Over S$100 on the Card (days to weeks)

Use the amaze card for everyday purchases until your combined spend passes S$100. It does not have to be one transaction. Instarem’s terms count card spend once it is settled.

If you have an overseas transfer to make instead, one transfer above S$1,000 also qualifies, once it shows as Paid to Beneficiary.

You have one year from sign-up to do either. In practice, a week or two of normal spending is enough.

What you end up with: the qualifying activity done.

Step 5 — Check Your InstaPoints Balance (1 minute)

Instarem credits the 2,000 InstaPoints once the qualifying activity is complete. The terms note that banking or regulatory checks can sometimes delay it.

Check your InstaPoints balance in the app. The referral should show as completed.

What you end up with: 2,000 InstaPoints in your account.

Step 6 — Redeem the InstaPoints as S$25 (1 minute)

Instarem’s terms give two ways to use the reward:

  1. S$25 cashback, under amaze’s cashback terms.
  2. S$25 off an overseas transfer above S$1,000.

You cannot use both in the same calendar month. The MileLion reports that the S$25 cashback can be redeemed once per calendar month.

InstaPoints expire 12 months after they are credited for Singapore customers, so redeem them before then.

What you end up with: S$25 back.

For most people, the card route is simpler. You only need a few normal purchases, and there is no minimum per transaction.

Is the amaze Referral Worth It? Three Realistic Examples

The everyday spender. You put two weeks of groceries and meals on amaze, about S$120. The 2,000 InstaPoints land, and you redeem them as S$25 cashback. That is about 20% back on spending you were doing anyway.

The overseas student’s parent. You send S$2,000 for school fees through Instarem. One transfer above S$1,000 qualifies, and you can take S$25 off your next large transfer.

The card collector who forgets. You sign up, get the card and never use it. After a year, the referral lapses. The reward only works if you actually spend on the card.

The referral does not change how amaze works. If a travel card suits you, the S$25 is a good start. If you never travel or spend in foreign currency, it is still S$25, but the card may not earn its place after that.

What the Referral Code Cannot Do

It cannot be added later. The code has to be used while you sign up for Instarem.

It cannot be paid twice. You receive the 2,000 InstaPoints once, however many qualifying transactions you make.

It does not wait forever. If the qualifying activity is not done within a year of sign-up, the reward is not paid.

It does not count everything. Transfers or spend to your referrer, or to a joint account with them, are excluded. So are corporate accounts and second accounts.

Is amaze Safe? What the Code Does Not Change

Using a referral code has no effect on how your money is held. Instarem is a brand of Nium Pte. Ltd., which is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Major Payment Institution.

Nium is not a bank. Money held in amaze Wallet is not a deposit and is not covered by SDIC deposit insurance. Keep only what you plan to spend in it. This is not financial advice.

Tips to Get the Most From the amaze Referral

Use the link. It applies JxU1zN at sign-up, so you cannot forget it.

Spend a little over S$100. The terms say “over S$100”, so aim for S$105 or more to be safe.

Keep the purchases. Refunds can take your total back under S$100.

Redeem as cashback if you do not send money abroad. The S$25 transfer discount only helps on a transfer above S$1,000.

Redeem within 12 months. InstaPoints expire after a year.

What If You Already Have an Instarem Account?

The referral reward is not available to you. Instarem’s terms are for new customers who sign up with a referral code, and a second account to claim it is not allowed.

You can still earn the other way round. Share your own referral code from the Instarem app, and Instarem rewards you when friends sign up and complete a qualifying activity.

Final Thoughts

The amaze referral is S$25 for about 20 minutes of setup and a few normal purchases. That is a good return for a free travel card.

Get the order right: link first, code confirmed at sign-up, then a little over S$100 of real spending. Redeem the 2,000 InstaPoints as cashback before they expire.

Do that and the S$25 is yours within a few weeks.
