Kris+ Review 2026: Is Singapore Airlines’ Miles App Still Worth Using?
Table of Contents
Kris+ is Singapore Airlines’ own rewards app. Pay at a partner café, restaurant or shop through the app, and you earn KrisPay miles on top of whatever your credit card earns. Move them to KrisFlyer within 21 days and they become normal KrisFlyer miles.
It is free and it still adds miles for nothing. But it is a different app from the one people raved about in 2024. Earn rates were cut at more than 250 merchants in July 2025, and the average is now about 3 miles per dollar, down from 5.4.
I went through the latest earn rate data, the transfer and expiry rules, this October’s sixth-birthday promotions and the referral terms, and set Kris+ against HeyMax and ShopBack. Here is the complete, honest verdict.

What Is Kris+?
Kris+ is a lifestyle rewards app run by Singapore Airlines. It turned six in October 2026, which puts its launch in 2020. You log in with your KrisFlyer account.
At a participating merchant, you pay through the app using Apple Pay or Google Pay with your own Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, or with KrisPay miles. The merchant pays Singapore Airlines a commission, and you receive part of it as KrisPay miles.
The key idea is stacking. Your credit card still earns its own miles or cashback on the payment. Kris+ miles are extra.
KrisPay miles are worth S$0.01 each when spent in the app: 100 KrisPay miles = S$1.
How Earning Works in 2026
Earn Rates — Lower Than They Used to Be
As of 24 September 2026, Kris+ had 631 earning merchants in Singapore, its highest count yet, with an average earn rate of 2.97 miles per S$1, per Mainly Miles’ September 2026 tracker:
| Earn rate | Merchants |
|---|---|
| 9 mpd | 3 |
| 6–7 mpd | 66 |
| 4–5 mpd | 99 |
| 3 mpd | 152 |
| 2 mpd | 238 |
| 1.5 mpd or less | 73 |
That is a big fall. In August 2024 the average was 5.4 mpd and nearly a third of merchants paid 9 mpd. On 1 July 2025, Kris+ cut rates at more than 250 merchants, according to The MileLion.
Stacking With Your Card
Pay with a card that earns 4 miles per dollar on that spend, and a 3 mpd Kris+ merchant gives you about 7 mpd in total. Turtle Investor gives the example of the DBS Woman’s World Card, which codes Kris+ payments as online spend.
Promotions
Kris+ runs frequent campaigns. For its sixth birthday, from 1 to 31 October 2026, partners paid 8 mpd, a daily Gift Box gave prizes worth up to S$10, and dining vouchers at 50% off or more were released every Friday. Discounted vouchers, such as S$100 of credit for S$85, appear often and still earn miles.
The Rules That Catch People Out
The 21-Day Transfer Window
Miles you earn by paying land in your KrisPay wallet. You can move them to KrisFlyer at 1:1, free, but only within 21 days, and only for the full amount of each transaction. Turn on auto-transfer to avoid missing it.
Six-Month Expiry
KrisPay miles you do not transfer expire six months after they are credited. Spent in the app, they are worth 1 cent each, far less than the 2 to 6 cents a KrisFlyer mile can be worth on flights, per Turtle Investor.
Bonus Miles Cannot Leave the App
Miles from referrals, challenges, Gift Boxes and promotional rebates cannot be moved to KrisFlyer. They can only be spent at Kris+ merchants at 1 cent each.
KrisFlyer-to-Kris+ Is One Way
You can move expiring KrisFlyer miles into Kris+ to spend them, which is a decent rescue for miles that would otherwise vanish. But the move cannot be reversed, and 1 cent a mile is a low value.
The Honest Assessment: What Holds Up and What Does Not
The KrisFlyer link holds up. No other app turns everyday spending in Singapore straight into KrisFlyer miles at 1:1. For KrisFlyer collectors, that matters.
Stacking still works. Even at 3 mpd, Kris+ plus a 4 mpd card beats most single-card earning.
Earn rates have nearly halved. An average of 2.97 mpd is useful, but it is no longer exceptional. Check the rate before you pay, since merchants change without notice.
The rules are fiddly. A 21-day transfer window, six-month expiry and non-transferable bonus miles mean some of your miles will be worth only 1 cent unless you are careful.
It is free and easy. You use your own card and pay as normal. There is no reason not to have it if you eat at its partners.
Kris+ vs HeyMax vs ShopBack: Which Should You Use?
| Factor | Kris+ | HeyMax | ShopBack |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you earn | KrisPay miles | Max Miles | Cashback |
| Average earn | ~3 miles per S$1 at partners | Varies by voucher and shop | Varies by shop |
| Converts to KrisFlyer | Yes, 1:1 within 21 days | Indirectly via yuu, about 0.83 | No |
| Other airlines | No | 25+ programmes | No |
| Best for | Dining and retail at partner outlets | Vouchers and online shopping | Online shopping |
| Expiry | 6 months if not transferred | None while active | Varies |
HeyMax details from our HeyMax review.
Use Kris+ if you collect KrisFlyer and eat or shop at its partners.
Use HeyMax if you buy vouchers and shop online and want miles you can move to other airlines.
Use ShopBack if you prefer cash. Most miles collectors use Kris+ and HeyMax together.
Who Should Use Kris+
Kris+ is a strong fit if:
- You collect KrisFlyer miles.
- You eat out at its partner restaurants and cafés.
- You have a card that earns 4 mpd on online or contactless spend.
- You will turn on auto-transfer to KrisFlyer.
- You want to rescue expiring KrisFlyer miles.
Kris+ is not a strong fit if:
- You collect other airline or hotel points.
- You rarely visit its partner merchants.
- You will forget the 21-day transfer window.
- You expected the 9 mpd rates of 2024.
- You prefer cashback.
Is Kris+ Worth It in 2026?
Yes, for KrisFlyer collectors. It costs nothing, stacks on your card, and turns meals and shopping into KrisFlyer miles at 1:1. Spend S$300 a month at 3 mpd partners and you earn about 10,800 extra KrisFlyer miles a year, on top of your card.
It is less exciting than it was. With an average of about 3 mpd, Kris+ is a useful extra, not a reason to change where you eat.
The test for your first month: sign up with a referral code, turn on auto-transfer, and pay at one partner you already visit. Check that the miles reached KrisFlyer.
Sign-up offer: new users who enter a referral code at sign-up and make a qualifying payment of at least S$5 at a Kris+ partner get 500 KrisPay miles (S$5). The bonus miles can only be spent in the app. The Kris+ referral guide shows where to enter the code.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kris+ worth it?
For KrisFlyer collectors, yes. It is free, stacks with your credit card and converts at 1:1 to KrisFlyer within 21 days. Earn rates averaged 2.97 miles per S$1 in September 2026, lower than in 2024 but still a useful extra.
How much is a KrisPay mile worth?
S$0.01 when spent in the Kris+ app (100 KrisPay miles = S$1). Transferred to KrisFlyer and used for flights, a mile can be worth 2 to 6 cents.
Do KrisPay miles expire?
Yes. KrisPay miles expire six months after they are credited. Miles earned from spending can be moved to KrisFlyer at 1:1 within 21 days, where KrisFlyer’s own expiry rules apply.
Can I transfer Kris+ bonus miles to KrisFlyer?
No. Miles from referrals, challenges, Gift Boxes and promotional rebates stay in Kris+ and can only be spent at partner merchants.
Which credit card should I use with Kris+?
A card that earns bonus miles on online or mobile wallet spend. Turtle Investor cites the DBS Woman’s World Card, which codes Kris+ payments as online spend at 4 mpd, giving about 7 mpd in total at a 3 mpd merchant. Check your card’s current terms.
Is Kris+ better than HeyMax?
For KrisFlyer, Kris+ is better, because it transfers at 1:1 while HeyMax only reaches KrisFlyer through yuu at about 0.83. HeyMax is better for vouchers, online shopping and other airlines. Many people use both.
Final Verdict
Kris+ earns 3.9 out of 5 stars.
It earns its best marks for the KrisFlyer link and stacking. A free app that adds KrisFlyer miles on top of your card at hundreds of Singapore merchants is still worth having.
The deductions come from the cuts and the rules. Earn rates have nearly halved since 2024, and the 21-day transfer window, six-month expiry and non-transferable bonus miles mean careless users get 1 cent a mile.
Install Kris+ if you collect KrisFlyer, turn on auto-transfer, and check the rate before you pay.
