Search for a YouTrip promo code and you get a dozen of them. Here is the part the code sites leave out: they all pay the same S$5.
YouTrip gives one sign-up bonus per account. A referral link, YouTrip’s own blog code and every “exclusive” code you see quoted all lead to that one S$5. Pick any one of them, not all three.
The bigger money is somewhere else. On the first day of each month until December, YouTrip runs Mega Travel Day, with up to 25% cashback on hotels booked through the app. The next two are on 1 November and 1 December 2026.

YouTrip Promo Code vs Referral Link: Same S$5
There are three ways to get the YouTrip sign-up bonus, and they pay exactly the same:
- A referral link. Open a friend’s link before you install the app, sign up, activate your virtual card and top up any amount. Both of you get S$5.
- YouTrip’s own blog code, YTBLOG5. YouTrip’s Mega Travel Day article offers it to new users for S$5.
- Third-party codes such as YPERK5. Also S$5, according to the sites that publish them.
You cannot combine them. Only one sign-up bonus applies per account.
I recommend the referral link because it needs nothing typed — the link carries the referral into the app — and it supports this site at no cost to you. But if you prefer a code, YTBLOG5 is the one from YouTrip itself.

How to Claim the S$5
- Open the referral link on your phone first. If YouTrip is already installed, the referral does not count.
- Install the app and sign up in the same session. Verify with Singpass MyInfo, or upload your NRIC or passport.
- Activate your virtual card in the app. YouTrip lists this as a condition.
- Top up any amount. PayNow works from S$1. Cards, bank transfers and Apple Pay need at least S$20.
- Wait for the S$5. It is credited automatically once the top-up clears. There is nothing to claim.
Who Doesn’t Get the S$5
- Existing or former YouTrip users, even with a dormant account.
- Anyone who installed the app before opening the link.
- Anyone who signs up but never activates the card or tops up. Registering alone pays nothing.
- YouTrip Family Child accounts.
Referral links also expire after 60 days, so a link copied from an old forum post may not track. The one on my referral page was refreshed in October 2026.
YouTrip Mega Travel Day: Up to 25% Cashback
Mega Travel Day is YouTrip’s monthly travel sale, on the YouTrip Perks tab. The upsized rates run on 1 November and 1 December 2026 only.

To get the cashback:
- Open the Perks tab in the YouTrip app and choose the merchant.
- Tap Redeem Deal and complete the booking from there.
- Pay with your YouTrip card.
If you leave checkout, go back in through YouTrip Perks. Booking directly on the merchant’s site, or from an old tab, can lose the cashback.
The best value is a Klook or Trip.com hotel booking. A S$600 hotel on Klook at 25% is S$150 back, with no cap.
YouTrip Perks: The Rest of the Month
Outside Mega Travel Day, the Perks tab still carries merchant cashback and discounts at lower rates. They change every month and need no code. Check Perks before any travel booking, then pay with the YouTrip card.
YouBiz Promo Code: S$50 for Businesses
YouTrip’s business account, YouBiz, has its own referral programme. New Singapore businesses get S$50 with code YOUp9l3U4Jw (case-sensitive, with a lowercase “l” after the 9) after a single card spend of S$5 or more within 90 days of approval.

Is YouTrip Safe?
YouTrip is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a major payment institution. It is an e-wallet, not a bank, so your balance is not covered by SDIC deposit insurance, and the wallet holds up to S$5,000.
That makes it a spending card, not a savings account. Top up what you plan to spend on a trip, and keep the rest in the bank.
Is the YouTrip Promo Worth It?
The S$5 sign-up bonus is small but costs nothing — a S$1 PayNow top-up triggers it. If you travel at all, take it.
Mega Travel Day is where YouTrip earns its place. If you have a hotel to book for December or the year-end holidays, waiting until 1 November or 1 December for 20–25% cashback is worth more than any sign-up code.
