Royal Caribbean Singapore 2026–27: Navigator Review, Quantum Dates

If you are planning a Quantum of the Seas cruise from Singapore this year, stop. Quantum spends the 2026–27 season in Brisbane and does not return to Singapore until 25 October 2027.

The Royal Caribbean ship sailing from Singapore now is Navigator of the Seas. It arrives at Marina Bay Cruise Centre on 29 October 2026, and Royal Caribbean has extended its stay to October 2027. It is older and smaller than Quantum, with different headline features, and it is cheaper.

That is either a problem or a bargain, depending on what you want from the trip.

I went through Royal Caribbean’s Singapore site and deployment schedule, the trade press on both ships, cabin prices from agents and both Klook listings. This review covers what Navigator offers, what a cruise really costs once gratuities and port fees are added, and whether you should wait for Quantum. Here is the complete, honest verdict.

Navigator’s Singapore stay was first planned for October 2026 to March 2027. In August 2026, Royal Caribbean extended it to October 2027, as reported by TTG Asia. Quantum’s return for late 2027 was confirmed in March 2026, per Seatrade Cruise News.

The two ships do not overlap. There is no month in which you can choose between them.

What Is Navigator of the Seas?

Navigator of the Seas is a Voyager-class ship that first sailed in December 2002. It carries about 3,400 guests at double occupancy and 1,200 crew. This is its first season based in Asia.

In 2019, Royal Caribbean spent US$115 million on a refit that added much of what makes the ship fun today, according to Seatrade. That included The Blaster aqua coaster, the Riptide head-first slide, a new pool deck, a three-level Lime & Coconut bar and new restaurants.

The honest caveat: the refit was seven years ago, on a ship that is now almost 24 years old. Expect a well-kept older ship, not a new one.

Itineraries From Singapore

All round trips leave from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, usually at 4pm, and return at about 7am.

2-Night Weekend Getaway — From S$307

A cruise to nowhere with no ports. Dates include 27 November 2026 and 26 March 2027. Good for testing whether you like cruising.

3-Night Penang — From S$300

One port day in Penang. Departures run through November and December 2026 and into early 2027. This is the cheapest way onto the ship per night.

4-Night Penang & Phuket — From S$481

The most common itinerary. Penang from 2.30pm to 9pm on day two, Phuket from 8am to 8pm on day three, then a sea day. Phuket is a tender port until March 2027, which means queuing for small boats to get ashore and less beach time.

5-Night Penang, Phuket & Langkawi — Selected Dates

Sailing on 19 November 2026, 28 December 2026, 8 February 2027 and 21 March 2027.

Longer Trips

A 10-night Thailand and Vietnam cruise leaves on 2 January 2027, with two days docked at Laem Chabang for Bangkok. In 2027, there are also four-night trips to Port Klang (for Kuala Lumpur) or Ho Chi Minh City, and a 12-night trip to Tokyo from S$2,233.

Prices are per person, double occupancy, from Royal Caribbean Singapore on 23 October 2026, before taxes and port fees.

Royal Caribbean Singapore Prices in 2026: The Full Breakdown

Royal Caribbean’s Singapore site only shows “from” prices. Agents list cabin-type prices in US dollars. Here is what they showed for Navigator’s three-night sailing on 1 February 2027, per Direct Line Cruises:

CabinPer Person (USD)About (SGD)
InteriorUS$347.50S$445
OceanviewUS$384S$492
BalconyUS$464.50S$595
SuiteUS$716S$916

For comparison, Quantum’s three-night sailing on 25 October 2027 starts at about US$394 for an interior cabin. That is roughly 13% more for the newer ship.

What the Fare Includes

  • Your cabin, the main dining room, the Windjammer buffet and other free venues.
  • Main theatre shows and the ice show.
  • The FlowRider surf simulator, The Blaster, Riptide, the rock wall, mini golf and the pools.
  • The Adventure Ocean kids’ club.

Hidden Costs to Know About

Gratuities: US$18.50 per person per day. Royal Caribbean adds this to your onboard account automatically, in US dollars, for every guest, including children. Suites pay US$21. On a four-night trip for a family of four, that is US$296, or about S$380.

Taxes and port fees. Klook’s prices exclude them. MoneySmart’s April 2026 example showed S$61 in taxes on a three-night sailing.

An 18% charge on extras. Drinks, drinks packages, specialty dining, room service and the minibar all carry an 18% service charge. Spa and salon carry 20%.

Drinks packages have a catch. If one adult in the cabin buys the alcoholic package, every adult in the cabin must buy it. Fleet-wide prices run from about US$55 to US$120 per person per day. On a three-night trip, it rarely pays unless you drink five or more drinks a day.

Wi-Fi. Expect about US$15 to US$39 per device per day, cheapest if you buy before you sail.

Foreign currency fees. Everything onboard is charged in US dollars. Settle your account with a no-FX-fee card. See my best travel credit cards in Singapore for the options.

Core Features: What Navigator Actually Does

The Blaster and Riptide — The Headline Slides

The Blaster is an aqua coaster that runs more than 240 metres around the top deck and over the side of the ship. It was the first aqua coaster at sea when it opened in 2019. Riptide is a head-first mat slide. Both are included, and both are what older kids will talk about.

FlowRider and the Ice Rink

The FlowRider surf simulator lets you bodyboard or surf on the top deck. The ice rink hosts ice shows, which are rare on ships in Asia.

Dining

Included venues are the main dining room and the Windjammer buffet. Paid options include Chops Grille steakhouse, Jamie’s Italian, Izumi, Hooked Seafood, Playmakers sports bar and Johnny Rockets Express.

Kids and Teens

Adventure Ocean, the kids’ club, was redone in the 2019 refit, along with teen spaces, laser tag and an escape room.

Navigator does not have North Star, RipCord by iFly or the Bionic Bar. Those are Quantum-class only. If those are the reason you want to go, wait until late 2027.

If you just want three or four nights away with your family, good food, a pool deck and two Southeast Asian ports, Navigator is cheaper and available now.

Who Should Use Navigator of the Seas

  • You want a short cruise with actual ports, not only a cruise to nowhere.
  • Your kids are seven to 15 and will spend their days on the slides and FlowRider.
  • You want a Royal Caribbean trip in the next 12 months.
  • You are price-sensitive and happy with an older ship.
  • You want Quantum’s North Star or RipCord. Wait for October 2027.
  • You want a brand-new ship with Disney-level theming. Look at Disney Adventure from Singapore.
  • You want the cheapest possible night at sea. Look at Star Voyager from Singapore, which has lower fares during its Singapore season from late November.
  • You are going mainly for Phuket’s beaches before March 2027. The tender cuts into your time ashore.

Is Navigator of the Seas Worth It in 2026?

For a family, yes, if you budget for the extras from the start. A four-night trip for four at about S$1,650 to S$2,500 includes all meals, shows, kids’ clubs, slides and two port stops. A comparable four-night hotel trip to Penang or Phuket with flights, meals and activities rarely comes in lower.

The test is simple: price your exact date on the official site and on Klook. On 23 October 2026, the official site’s three-night lead price (S$300) was below Klook’s “from” price (S$370.75), and the official site was offering up to US$250 in onboard credit. Klook had a S$100 code (ROYAL100SALE) and its own guest discounts for October bookings. Book wherever the total for your date is lower.

Planning Ahead for Quantum

If you want Quantum, its Singapore sailings from 25 October 2027 are already listed. Klook’s Quantum page also showed “Kids Sail Free” for that season. Be careful with that listing: on 23 October 2026, its sale dates matched Navigator sailings, and some reviews were about a different ship. Check the ship name before you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Quantum of the Seas sailing from Singapore in 2026?

No. Quantum of the Seas is based in Brisbane from October 2026 to April 2027. It returns to Singapore for sailings from 25 October 2027 to March 2028. Navigator of the Seas is the Royal Caribbean ship in Singapore until then.

How much is a Royal Caribbean cruise from Singapore?

Fares start from about S$300 per person for three nights on Navigator, before taxes and port fees. A realistic all-in total for a couple on a four-night trip is about S$1,300 to S$1,900, including gratuities and some extras.

Are Royal Caribbean gratuities compulsory?

They are added automatically at US$18.50 per person per day, or US$21 in suites, including for children. You can ask Guest Relations to adjust them before the last morning, but plan on paying them.

Do I need a passport for a cruise to nowhere from Singapore?

Yes. For a cruise with no port calls, your passport only needs to be unexpired. For cruises that stop at ports such as Penang or Phuket, it must be valid for at least six months from the sailing date.

Is Klook cheaper than booking on the Royal Caribbean website?

Sometimes. Klook often has codes and guest discounts, while the official site often has lower lead fares and onboard credit. Price the same sailing in both places and compare the total after taxes.

Can I cancel a Royal Caribbean cruise booked on Klook?

Klook says a cancellation fee may apply depending on how much notice you give, following Royal Caribbean’s policy. Fees usually rise sharply in the last two months before sailing, so read the terms on your booking page before you pay and consider travel insurance.

Final Verdict

Navigator of the Seas earns 4.0 out of 5 stars.

It earns its marks on itineraries and activities: two-port trips from S$481, slides and a FlowRider the kids will love, and a full year of sailings from Singapore. It loses points for the ship’s age, the extra-cost list and a Phuket tender that eats into shore time until March 2027.

Book Navigator now if you want a family cruise with real ports in the next year. Wait for Quantum in October 2027 if North Star and RipCord are the point.
