eToro Singapore Review 2026: Cheap Trades, But Watch the Conversion Costs
Table of Contents
eToro is one of the best-known trading apps in the world, with 40 million registered users. It opened in Singapore in July 2025 with a MAS licence, a flat US$1 commission on US stocks and zero commission on ETFs, including the London-listed ETFs that Singapore investors prefer for tax reasons.
On the trading side, eToro is cheap. Getting money in and out is where it costs you. Your account runs in US dollars, so every SGD deposit is converted, and every withdrawal costs US$5.
I went through eToro’s fee page, its deposit conversion table for SGD, its Singapore licence announcement and the current welcome bonus. I also set it against Webull and Tiger Brokers. Here is the complete, honest verdict.

What Is eToro?
eToro is an Israeli-founded trading platform, started in 2007, now in 75 countries with 40 million registered users. Its parent, eToro Group, listed on Nasdaq in 2025.
In Singapore, the company is eToro Singapore Pte. Ltd. It activated its Capital Markets Services licence (CMS101824) from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in July 2025, per eToro’s announcement. Singapore users get stocks from more than 20 exchanges, ETFs, derivatives, a practice Virtual Portfolio and eToro’s social feed.
It is best known for its social side: you can see other investors’ portfolios and statistics and discuss trades in the app. That is useful for ideas, but it is not a substitute for your own plan.
The honest caveat: eToro is a US-dollar platform. It has no SGX shares, no CPF or SRS investing and no SGD balance.
eToro Fees in 2026: The Full Breakdown
There is no account fee. Every fee below is from eToro’s fee page and its conversion fee table, both modified 8 September 2026.
Trading Fees
| Product | Fee |
|---|---|
| US stocks | US$1 per trade to open and US$1 to close |
| UK, Hong Kong and some other stocks | US$2 per trade |
| ETFs (US and London-listed) | 0% commission |
| Stocks on margin | 0.15% of trade value |
- UK-listed stocks carry 0.5% UK stamp duty on purchases. ETFs do not.
- London-listed UCITS ETFs such as CSPX and VWRA are available with 0% commission, per Beansprout’s October 2026 comparison.
Getting Money In and Out
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| SGD to USD by bank transfer | 128 pips (about 1% at current rates) |
| SGD to USD by online banking (PayNow) | 0.75% |
| SGD to USD by debit or credit card | 385 pips (about 3%) |
| Withdrawal from the USD account | US$5 flat, minimum US$30 |
| Inactivity fee | Free on the current fee page |
eToro Club members get a discount on SGD-to-USD conversions via PayNow: 20% for Silver and Gold, 40% for Platinum and Platinum+, and 80% for Diamond.
Hidden Costs to Know About
Conversion eats the commission savings. Deposit S$5,000 by PayNow and you pay about S$37.50 in conversion before you buy anything. That is more than 30 US$1 trades.
Converting back out costs again. Withdrawing to an SGD bank account converts USD back to SGD, plus the US$5 withdrawal fee.
Cards are the worst way to fund. At 385 pips, a card deposit costs about three times a bank transfer.
US withholding tax. Like every broker, US dividends are taxed at 30% for Singapore investors. London-listed Irish ETFs such as CSPX and VWRA are the usual workaround, and eToro offers them commission-free.
Core Features: What eToro Actually Does
Commission-Free ETFs, Including London — The Strongest Feature
Zero commission on ETFs is eToro’s best feature for Singapore investors. Many brokers charge a minimum fee on London trades: FSMOne charges £15 and Tiger does not offer London ETFs at all. On eToro, a monthly buy of VWRA or CSPX costs nothing in commission.
US Stocks at a Flat US$1
A US$1 trade to open and US$1 to close is cheap for anything above a few hundred dollars. It is not as cheap as Webull’s US$0, but it is cheaper than Tiger’s US$1.99 minimum.
Social Investing and the Virtual Portfolio
You can follow other investors, see their portfolios and risk scores, and discuss trades. The Virtual Portfolio lets you practise with US$100,000 of pretend money. Both are useful for learning. Neither tells you what to buy.
Charts and Research
Charts are powered by TradingView, and the app covers more than 7,000 assets. Research is lighter than moomoo’s or Tiger’s, but enough for a buy-and-hold investor.
The Honest Assessment: What Holds Up and What Does Not
Regulation holds up. eToro Singapore holds a MAS CMS licence, and its parent is a Nasdaq-listed company with nearly two decades of history. Broker accounts are not SDIC-insured, but that is true of every broker.
ETF pricing is excellent. Zero commission on London-listed ETFs is rare in Singapore and is the strongest reason to choose eToro.
Deposits and withdrawals are expensive. With no SGD balance, every deposit and withdrawal is a currency conversion. For someone who invests S$500 a month by PayNow, that is about S$45 a year in conversion alone.
No SGX, no CPF, no SRS. If you want Singapore shares or to invest CPF or SRS money, you need another broker.
Promotions come with big deposit thresholds. The welcome bonus starts at a US$5,000 first deposit held for 90 days. That suits investors moving a lump sum, not beginners.
eToro vs Webull vs Tiger Brokers: Which Should You Choose?
| Factor | eToro | Webull SG | Tiger Brokers |

| London ETFs (CSPX, VWRA) | Yes, 0% commission | No | No |
| SGX stocks | No | Yes | Yes |
| CPF / SRS | No | No | Yes (Cash Boost) |

eToro figures from its fee pages (8 September 2026). Webull and Tiger from our Webull Singapore review and Tiger Brokers review.
Choose eToro if you want London-listed ETFs commission-free and plan to deposit in large, infrequent amounts.
Choose Webull if you mostly buy US stocks and want US$0 commission with an SGD balance.
Choose Tiger if you want SGX, CPF or SRS investing in one modern app. Our best zero-commission brokerages guide compares the rest.
Who Should Use eToro
eToro is a strong fit if:
- You want to buy London-listed ETFs like CSPX or VWRA without commission.
- You invest a lump sum and leave it there for years.
- You buy US stocks in amounts of several hundred dollars or more.
- You like seeing how other investors build their portfolios.
- You want a clean app with TradingView charts.
eToro is not a strong fit if:
- You want SGX shares or REITs.
- You want to invest CPF or SRS money.
- You deposit small amounts every month.
- You withdraw money often.
- You want a broker that holds SGD.
Is eToro Worth It in 2026?
For one kind of investor, yes. If you put in S$20,000 once by PayNow and buy VWRA, you pay about S$150 in conversion and no commission, and then nothing while you hold. That is a fair price for a commission-free London ETF portfolio.
For a beginner putting S$300 a month into US stocks, eToro is a poor fit. The monthly conversion cost of about S$2.25 plus US$1 per trade is more than Webull’s zero.
The test for your first month: deposit by bank transfer or PayNow, not by card, buy one ETF and check the conversion rate you got against the mid-market rate. If you plan to withdraw within a year, eToro is probably not for you.
Sign-up offer: new eToro Singapore users who register through a referral link, select stocks as their trading interest and make a first deposit of at least US$5,000 held for 90 days can get US$250 to US$1,000 in stocks, depending on the deposit. Only the first deposit counts. The eToro referral guide explains each condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is eToro safe in Singapore?
Yes. eToro Singapore Pte. Ltd. holds a Capital Markets Services licence (CMS101824) from MAS, activated in July 2025, and its parent company is listed on Nasdaq. eToro is not a bank, so balances are not SDIC-insured. Investments carry risk, including loss of principal.
How much are eToro fees in Singapore?
US stocks cost US$1 to open and US$1 to close a position. UK and Hong Kong stocks cost US$2. ETFs have no commission. Converting SGD to USD costs 0.75% by PayNow, 128 pips by bank transfer and 385 pips by card. Withdrawals cost US$5, with a US$30 minimum.
Can I buy SGX stocks on eToro?
No. eToro does not offer Singapore-listed shares. For SGX stocks, you need a broker such as Tiger Brokers, POEMS, FSMOne or Webull.
Does eToro have an SGD account?
No. eToro accounts run in US dollars, so every SGD deposit is converted to USD and every withdrawal is converted back. The conversion fee depends on how you fund the account and your eToro Club tier.
Can I buy CSPX or VWRA on eToro?
Yes. eToro offers London-listed UCITS ETFs, including CSPX and VWRA, with zero commission. These Irish-domiciled ETFs pay less US dividend withholding tax than US-listed ETFs for Singapore investors.
Is eToro better than Webull?
eToro is better if you want London-listed ETFs commission-free. Webull is better for US stocks, since it charges US$0 commission, holds SGD and offers SGX shares. Many investors use eToro only for their ETF core.
Final Verdict
eToro earns 3.6 out of 5 stars.
It earns its best marks for ETFs. Zero commission on London-listed ETFs is rare in Singapore, US stock trades are cheap at US$1, and the app is clean and easy to learn. It is licensed by MAS and backed by a listed global group.
The deductions come from everything around the trades. A USD-only account means paying to convert money in and out, withdrawals cost US$5, and there are no SGX shares, CPF or SRS.
Open eToro if you want a low-cost home for London-listed ETFs and will fund it in large, infrequent amounts. Keep a local broker for everything else.
